Night Time

Fire crackling.

Babies sleeping.

Darkness.

Sipping hot cocoa

The pitter-patter of early spring rain.

The warmth of being wrapped in a fleece blanket.

Quiet.

*sigh*

It's night time at my house.

Tubing

One of the highlights for the boys on our vacation was tubing behind the snowmobile in Colorado.

Unfortunately I was really not feeling up to packing Avril around through the snow, without snowboots, while nursing a cold, so just the guys and the kids went. But my wonderful hubby took pictures for me.

*due to the fact that I'm very busy and very lazy, (is that an oxy-moron?)these are not edited at all.

Tug-of-War

I think my daughter is conflicted.

Torn between two worlds.

Torn bewtween the world where she was thrust at birth.
A world of noises, motors, wheels, spit, and dirt.
A world of snakes, snails, and puppy-dog tails.

A boy's world.

And...

A world from her mamma's dreams.
A world of tea parties, dollies, and dresses galore.
A world of sugar and spice and everything nice.

A girl's world.

Poor child.

Home Sweet Home

Hey everyone!

We just arrived home this afternoon. Our two week stay turned into three. Three is much longer than I anticipated and yet, not long enough.

I'm eye-ball deep in laundry right now but I do plan on posting a few pics in the next couple of days. Sadly, I didn't take many.

Good night!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-Big gasp of air- ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Yep. That about covers how the day is going.

Three sick kiddos who won't stop whining, coughing, fighting, crying, screaming, hitting, kicking, spitting, snotting, snarfing, barfing, pooping, peeing and just about anything else they can think of while I'm trying to pack and fighting off the sickness as well add to that a husband who is "unavoidably" detained 100% of the time and you've got yourself one crazy household.

*sigh*

I love vacations.

Note to Self:

It is easier to keep a clean house than to get a house clean.

Cleaning a house
While children are growing
is like shoveling snow
while it's still snowing.
